The Psychology of Money by Morgan Housel

My Thoughts

This is a great book that put words to a lot of the ideas I subconsciously tend to follow in terms of personal finance and investing. It was very validating, while also offering plenty of insightful thoughts on things I just haven’t spent much time thinking about yet.

What makes it stand out is that it doesn’t try to push a one-size-fits-all approach to personal finance. In other books I’ve read and people I’ve listened to, I’ve often come across strategies that just didn’t fit the way I think about money. Housel’s perspective, especially when sharing his own stance on things, complemented my thinking really well.

This book is what I was hoping Rich Dad Poor Dad would be when I originally read it. I’m looking forward to reading his follow-up, “The Art of Spending Money.”
